FAQ: FAQ

Do you take insurance?

While I do not take insurance, it is often beneficial for clients to contact their insurance carrier and inquire about being reimbursed for expenses paid to an out-of-network provider.  If the carrier will reimburse a client for these expenses, I can provide what is known as a superbill, to be submitted to the insurer.

How long is a counseling session?

Sessions are generally 50 minutes long, but can be altered based on client need.

What is your hourly rate?

The hourly rate $175.

What are your office hours?

Office hours are Tuesday through Friday, 9am-4pm, with some limited early evening and Saturday times also available.

What is the benefit of seeing a Catholic counselor?

The Catholic faith is the ancient Christian tradition, from which truth, beauty, and love flow.  It is rich with wisdom and spiritual practices that aid in improving our connection to God and to others.  A Catholic counselor can access the treasures of this beautiful faith practice to help clients achieve their various counseling goals.

Do I have to be Catholic or Christian to see a Catholic Christian Counselor? Do we have to talk about matters of faith?  Will the counselor try to evangelize me to be Catholic?

No. No. And no.  It is up to a counselor, as bound by our code of ethics, to respect, honor, and privilege every client's values, and not to impose our own values onto a client.
